When you sponsor a widow with The Goat Foundation, you not only help the widow in need but also transform the lives her children and members of the community where the sponsored widow lives, by ensuring they get basic needs, proper nutrition through the goat milk, cashflow from selling the by products and sustainable livelihoods. Your sponsorship also helps poor and vulnerable communities to build a more enabling context for their children to be protected and cared for.
Working with grassroots-based organizations, we strive towards making vulnerable communities self-reliant. Your sponsorship empowers our efforts to save the children in poor communities from crimes like child trafficking, child labour and child marriage. Essentially, you help these widows’ children become better citizens for a better tomorrow.
WHAT IS WIDOW SPONSORSHIP?
Widow sponsorship is a regular giving program from cause individuals, businesses or companies, where in their (monthly/quarterly/half yearly/annual) contribution ensures poverty alleviation, hunger prevention and a safe childhood to children from marginalized communities in Africa. By widows, we mean not only those living in poor communities but also differently abled, widows and children with learning disabilities, widows and children in conflict situations and widows with children with limited or no access to schools or basic facilities.
